Hyderabad | 04 February 2026: GI Outsourcing, a UK-based accounting services firm, has opened an AI-first Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad in partnership with Enablr, the GCC enablement arm of Covasant. This adds to the company’s existing operations in Mumbai, Delhi, and Ahmedabad, but with a specific focus on automation and AI-driven accounting services.

From Support to AI-Driven Excellence

The Hyderabad center is designed to leverage the city’s growing finance and accounting talent base while embedding AI and automation into service workflows. Rather than relying solely on labor-based offshore execution, the model integrates automation to handle routine processes, allowing professionals to focus on higher-value financial analysis and advisory work.

Operations began with approximately 50 professionals, with plans to scale 100 within a year and reach 200 employees by 2028. This phased expansion suggests GI Outsourcing expects sustained demand for AI-enabled accounting services while building delivery capacity ahead of client growth.

The operational model prioritizes automation-first workflows from inception, reducing the need to retrofit AI into legacy processes and enabling more scalable delivery over time.

Leadership Perspectives

“The move reflects India’s central role in our long-term operating model. Enablr helped establish operations quickly while managing compliance and risk.”

 – Tariq Husain, Group CEO of GI Outsourcing

Siddharth Viswanathan, Head of Inward Investment (South India) at the British Deputy High Commission, described the inauguration as: “A marker of UK–India economic collaboration and investment in talent and innovation.”

“The partnership is aimed at delivering speed-to-market without sacrificing quality or compliance.”

 – C V Subramanyam, CMD, Covasant and Enablr

India as the Global GCC Capital

GI Outsourcing’s expansion illustrates how GCC enablement platforms are lowering entry barriers for mid-market firms. By managing regulatory, HR, infrastructure, and operational requirements, enablement partners allow companies to establish India-based delivery centers without building full corporate frameworks independently.

This model broadens access to India’s professional talent pool beyond large multinationals. For accounting services, combining automation with distributed delivery creates opportunities to improve efficiency, maintain quality, and enhance competitiveness in a cost-sensitive market.

Going Forward

GI Outsourcing’s Hyderabad center represents a broader shift in how mid-market firms approach global delivery. Building an automation-first operation from day one enables the company to scale services without relying solely on linear headcount growth. While workforce expansion is planned, the underlying objective is improved productivity- using AI to absorb routine workloads so professionals can focus on advisory and higher-value engagements.

The partnership-driven setup model demonstrates how enablement platforms are reshaping GCC economics. Firms that historically lacked the scale to establish international delivery centers can now do so with reduced operational complexity, accelerating speed-to-market while maintaining governance standards.

The company’s distributed India footprint provides resilience by spreading operational exposure across multiple cities while tapping diverse talent ecosystems. As AI adoption deepens within professional services, delivery centers like this are likely to evolve into integrated capability hubs where automation, talent, and process design are aligned from inception, supporting scalable and technology-enabled service models.
