June 2026: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has appointed Soumen Roy as Head of its newly launched Global Value & Innovation Centres (GVIC) Business Unit.

Soumen brings nearly three decades of leadership experience across industries and geographies, having held several senior roles within TCS. Most recently, he served as Country Head for TCS Canada, where he was instrumental in strengthening client relationships and expanding the company’s footprint in North America.

In his new role, Soumen will lead the GVIC initiative, a strategic unit designed to help enterprises establish AI‑native GCCs and transform existing centers into value‑ and innovation‑led operating models. The GVIC combines TCS’ GCC expertise with lifecycle services spanning strategy, setup, scaled operations, and transformation, positioning it as a growth engine for global clients.

His appointment reflects TCS’ focus on building future‑ready global centers that deliver sustained business value through innovation, engineering depth, and talent ecosystems.
