Hyderabad | 29 October 2025: In a move that reinforces India’s growing role in powering global digital transformation, T-Mobile US (TMUS) is establishing its first-ever Global Technology Hub in Hyderabad, marking a significant milestone in the telecom major’s international expansion strategy.
The centre, to be operated under T-Mobile Global Solutions India, will kickstart operations by January 2026 with an initial team of around 300 professionals, with plans for steady expansion in the coming years. The hub will serve as a strategic extension of T-Mobile’s global technology and product organization, driving initiatives across software engineering, DevOps, product development, data analytics, and cybersecurity.
“Hyderabad has emerged as one of the most reliable global technology destinations, and we see it as a strategic fit for our long-term plans,” said Chandra Gupta, Vice President – Information Technology and Site Leader, T-Mobile Global Solutions India.
According to Chandra Gupta, the Hyderabad facility is envisioned not as a back-office unit but as a core innovation engine within T-Mobile’s global ecosystem. The focus will be on building digital products that enhance customer experience and operational agility across the company’s worldwide network. Hiring is already in progress, targeting experienced technologists capable of driving cross-border product innovation and collaboration.
The initiative underscores a broader shift in the Global Capability Center (GCC) model, from execution to innovation. Hyderabad’s robust infrastructure, tech-savvy workforce, and policy support continue to attract high-value global investments, solidifying its position as one of the fastest-growing GCC and digital innovation corridors in Asia.
“The Hyderabad initiative represents a long-term investment in talent and capability building rather than infrastructure alone. Our vision is to make Hyderabad a key node in T-Mobile’s global innovation network,” Chandra Gupta added.
While the company has not disclosed investment figures, industry observers note that this move aligns with a rising trend of global enterprises setting up specialized tech and digital hubs in India to accelerate innovation and strengthen enterprise resilience.
For T-Mobile, this new hub signals more than just an expansion, it’s a strategic commitment to co-creating the future of connected digital experiences from India’s innovation capital.
