June 2026: State Street has appointed Vijoy Basu as its new Managing Director of AI within the Global Delivery team. In this capacity, Basu will lead the strategic integration and scaling of artificial intelligence solutions across the organization’s global operations, aiming to optimize delivery frameworks and enhance operational capabilities. The appointment aligns with the firm’s broader initiative to advance its digital infrastructure and embed advanced data-driven insights into its operational workflows. Basu’s mandate encompasses driving AI transformation, governing enterprise-wide analytics platforms, and strengthening the technological backbone of State Street’s global delivery networks.
With over 27 years of experience in technology, data, and leadership across Fortune 200 organizations, Vijoy has built a strong track record in establishing and scaling Global Capability Centres (GCCs) and deploying enterprise‑wide analytics and data architecture.
He previously spent 16 years at GE GCC, where he held roles in technology and operational portfolios, reporting directly to Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and Chief Data Officers (CDOs). His expertise lies in steering complex enterprise transformations, structuring advanced analytics frameworks, and aligning large‑scale technical hubs with global corporate objectives.
His responsibilities include scaling shared services capabilities and ensuring that global finance delivery aligns with the firm’s broader commercial objectives.
