Rolls-Royce has inaugurated its largest Global Capability and Innovation Centre (GCC) in Bengaluru, marking a major expansion of its global operations. The new facility, located at Manyata Embassy Business Park, can seat around 700 people and will house engineering, digital technology, enterprise services, and support teams working across Rolls-Royce’s civil aerospace, defence, and power systems divisions. Karnataka’s Industries and Infrastructure Minister M.B. Patil officiated the launch, highlighting the state’s growing role as a hub for aerospace, defence, and advanced engineering industries.
He noted that Bengaluru ranks among the top three cities globally for aerospace investment and emphasised the strength of the region’s talent pool and collaborative ecosystem of research institutions, multinational companies, and startups. The centre reinforces Rolls-Royce’s long-standing presence in India and reflects strong confidence in local engineering expertise and innovation capacity. The launch was also attended by British High Commissioner Lindy Cameron and Rolls-Royce’s Global CFO Helen McCabe, underscoring the strategic importance of the expansion for both the company and broader UK-India industrial cooperation. The centre is expected to play a key role in powering global projects from India, attract further foreign investment, and contribute to deepening the aerospace and defence ecosystem in Karnataka.
