The Rajasthan government has approved the Global Capability Centre (GCC) Policy-2025 with the objective of positioning the state as a major global hub for innovation, investment, and high-value employment. Unlike conventional GCC strategies focused only on metro or tier-II cities, Rajasthan’s approach emphasizes decentralised development, extending economic opportunities down to block and rural levels.
Under the policy, Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Udaipur will be developed as key GCC hubs. In a unique statewide rollout, the government plans to establish 200 Global Capability Centres by 2030, with one GCC in each of Rajasthan’s 200 assembly segments. This initiative is expected to create employment opportunities for around 1.5 lakh youth and contribute meaningfully to India’s growing GCC market, estimated at USD 100 billion.
To attract multinational corporations and global enterprises, the policy offers incentives under the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme (RIPS-2024). These include capital investment subsidies, land cost incentives, payroll subsidies, rental assistance, training support, and relief in taxes and duties. The policy primarily targets GCCs focused on IT, research and development, finance, and other knowledge-driven functions, reinforcing Rajasthan’s ambition to become a globally competitive innovation destination.
