
13 July 2026: Lucid Motors, an electric vehicle manufacturer, has appointed Raja Ramana Macha as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This strategic leadership addition reinforces the automaker’s commitment to accelerating innovation across software-defined vehicle architectures, artificial intelligence, and advanced electrification systems.
To this critical executive role, Raja brings more than three decades of global leadership experience spanning automotive engineering, industrial automation, and digital transformation. Prior to joining Lucid, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Eaton, where he spearheaded the company’s global technology strategy, innovation roadmap, and engineering excellence across its power management operations. His extensive career also features executive positions at Schneider Electric, where he served as Senior Vice President and CTO of Industrial Automation, as well as senior roles at Invensys, AVEVA, and GeometricPLM. Throughout his professional journey, he has consistently led large-scale engineering organizations and driven high-impact innovation across connected digital ecosystems.
Taking the helm of Lucid Motors’ global technology strategy, Raja will direct the firm’s engineering innovation and product development initiatives. His core mandate focuses on advancing the company’s vehicle software platforms, AI-enabled automotive technologies, and intelligent energy management systems. As the automotive industry rapidly shifts toward complex, software-driven platforms, its deep technical expertise will be vital in ensuring the company maintains its competitive edge in developing high-performance, intelligent vehicles.
