US-based enterprise procurement leader JAGGAER has opened a new Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad, reinforcing the city’s appeal as a growing hub for artificial intelligence and tech innovation. The inauguration was led by Telangana’s IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu, who highlighted Hyderabad’s rich ecosystem of tech talent, deep-tech startups, and supportive policy environment that continues to attract global companies.

The Hyderabad GCC will be a strategic centre for developing JAGGAER’s agentic AI platform, JAI, and will support global operations across customer success, software engineering, cloud management, and IT services. It will serve diverse sectors including manufacturing, retail, FMCG, higher education and the public sector. The centre started with 180 employees and plans to expand to about 500 staff, with a long-term focus on building AI tools such as conversational support, procurement workflow copilots and eventually autonomous systems that operate under human oversight.

JAGGAER’s CEO Andrew Roszko noted that the Hyderabad centre expands the company’s global footprint and will accelerate its AI-powered procurement solutions. The Telangana government’s initiatives, such as the upcoming AI University and AI City project, were also cited as key elements that strengthen the state’s position as a preferred destination for technology and innovation investments.
