13 July 2026: Citizens Financial Group, Inc. has officially appointed Rajesh Mani as the Managing Director of its India Global Capability Centre (GCC). As the financial services sector rapidly evolves, this crucial executive appointment highlights the bank’s commitment to accelerating its enterprise-wide technology modernization agenda.

To this ambitious mandate, Rajesh brings over two decades of distinguished experience across financial technology, digital payments, and large-scale global center management. His career is highlighted by a formidable 13-year tenure at Mastercard, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President & Head of Asia Pacific Tech Hubs, at Mastercard, he also held international leadership positions, including Country Manager for Sri Lanka and Maldives and Head of Digital Partnerships for Southeast Asia. Earlier in his career, he led merchant business expansion for Airtel.

Taking command of the CFG India network, Rajesh will steer the center into its next phase of scale and impact. Sharing his enthusiasm for the company’s inspiring vision, he noted that the domestic GCC story is undergoing a massive transformation, moving far beyond traditional execution to become true hubs for high-value strategic capabilities, artificial intelligence, and digital engineering. By championing global enterprise ownership, his strategic oversight will ensure the organization remains at the forefront of this evolution, shaping how next-generation banking capabilities are built and delivered worldwide.

Beyond his operational directives, this new chapter represents a profound homecoming. Returning to Hyderabad a city he watched emerge as a global technology powerhouse since his days earning an MBA at the Indian School of Business (ISB) he described the move as a “true full-circle moment.” Embracing this exciting transition, Rajesh aims to partner closely with industry leaders, academia, and the broader GCC ecosystem, firmly ready to hit the ground running alongside the phenomenal CFGI team.
