27 July 2026: Canadian banking and financial services giant CIBC has appointed Mohit Dhingra as the Chief Executive Officer and President of CIBC India. This addition is in alignment with the financial institution’s commitment to expanding its domestic operations and fortifying its broader global business architecture.

To this mandate, Mohit brings an exceptional portfolio of cross-industry expertise. He joins the enterprise from Bristol Myers Squibb, where he successfully served as Managing Director. His formidable career trajectory is further anchored by a distinguished tenure spanning more than 18 years at Bank of America. During his time there, he held numerous senior technology and global delivery leadership positions across both India and the United States, consistently championing large-scale digital transformation and enterprise agility.

Taking command of the domestic network, Mohit will be focusing on the impact of their recently launched Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad. As the organization aggressively invests in the region, his expert oversight will be highly instrumental in building robust technology ecosystems and advancing core operational capabilities designed to seamlessly support and scale the bank’s worldwide business functions.

Embracing this exciting new transition, Mohit highlighted his dedication to a highly collaborative leadership style.
