
June 2026: BASF has announced the appointment of Maumita Sarkar as HR Head for Global Digital Hub, a role that places her at the center of the company’s digital transformation journey. Based in Hyderabad, she will lead the people’s strategy for BASF’s digital operations, focusing on workforce transformation, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.
Maumita brings nearly two decades of HR leadership across global enterprises and diverse industries with roles at Kimberly‑Clark, where she managed HR for Finance, IT, and Global Business Services, and at GE Renewable Energy and GE Healthcare, where she drove organizational restructuring, succession planning, and leadership development. Earlier in her career, she contributed to HR transformation at Tektronix (Danaher Corporation), Wipro Technologies, and Cognizant Technology Solutions.
Commenting on her new mandate and the strategic road ahead, Maumita shared:
