MAY 2026: Sangeeta Bavi has taken charge as the new Head of Digital Natives, Startups & Growth for India at Anthropic. Her appointment comes at a time when global AI firms are expanding their presence in India, one of the fastest‑growing markets for digital adoption and startup innovation.
Sangeeta has over a decade of experience in building and scaling startup ecosystems. Her career includes senior leadership roles at Microsoft, where she helped establish and grow the digital natives and startup business in India, and at YourStory Media, where she served as COO driving operational transformation. She has also advised early‑stage ventures through Seafund.
In her new role, Sangeeta will lead Anthropic’s engagement with India’s startup and digital‑native community, focusing on driving adoption of the Claude AI platform and strengthening Anthropic’s footprint in the region.
Sharing her perspective, Sangeeta noted: “India is at an extraordinary inflection point where startups are not just adopting AI but actively building with it. I look forward to partnering with founders and digital‑native businesses to accelerate innovation and growth with Anthropic.”
