17 August 2026: ABB has promoted Rangaswamy R to the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of ABB Global Industries and Services (GISPL). In this role, he will manage the organization’s overarching financial strategies, driving business performance, forecasting, and risk management across its operational landscape.

Taking on this comprehensive mandate, Rangaswamy brings extensive expertise across financial planning, business controlling, and enterprise accounting. As CFO, his responsibilities will include strengthening internal control frameworks, overseeing capital management, and partnering with business leadership to align financial objectives with long-term strategic goals.

Prior to this he spent over nine years at ABB in various leadership capacities, most recently serving as Business Controller for the India Operations Center. Before joining ABB in 2017, he held the position of Financial Controller at Honeywell, where he managed US GAAP accounting, audits, and financial compliance. His career also includes roles as a Financial Accountant at Misys and foundational experience in audit and taxation.
