3 October 2026: Godrej Agrovet (GAVL) has appointed Ravishankar A. as its new Chief Financial Officer. In this executive role, he will manage the senior finance leadership function across the company’s diverse portfolio, which includes animal nutrition, crop protection, oil palm, dairy, and frozen foods.

Taking on this mandate, Ravishankar will focus on building upon the company’s foundations, pursuing growth ambitions, and creating long-term value for stakeholders.

He brings financial leadership experience, having spent over two decades at Unilever across multiple geographies and functions. Most recently, he served as Vice President, Finance for Beauty & Wellbeing, South Asia. Since beginning his career at Unilever as a business leadership trainee in 2006, he progressed through key roles including Group Financial Controller and Head of Investor Relations at Hindustan Unilever, as well as Finance Director for Global Procurement, FP&A, and Performance Management. His earlier tenure included finance roles spanning global packaging, indirect procurement, treasury, insurance, and global markets. Prior to his long-standing career at Unilever, he worked as a Software Engineer at IGATE.

By combining his robust financial background with a deep understanding of market ecosystems, his leadership will center on advancing financial frameworks to support Godrej Agrovet’s long-term commercial growth and operational objectives.

Reflecting on his appointment, he highlighted his motivation for joining the organization:
