20 September 2026: Swiss Re has appointed Puneet Kumar as Location Head for its India Global Capability Centre (GCC). Alongside this new mandate, he will continue in his existing capacity as Head of Central Operations for Asia Pacific. In his expanded role, he will manage the advancement of the India GCC’s capabilities, focusing on strengthening collaboration across global teams and markets.

Taking on this mandate, Puneet brings over two decades of experience spanning global operations, reinsurance finance, and process transformation. He has spent over 10 years at Swiss Re, taking on progressively broader responsibilities. Most recently, he served as Head of Group Finance Bangalore (Senior Vice President). His earlier leadership positions within the organization included Senior Vice President – Head of Reinsurance Finance Hub and Vice President of Strategic Initiatives. He is also an active member of the company’s India Leadership Team.

Prior to his tenure at Swiss Re, he spent four years at HP, working across finance transformation and process design, serving as Global Program Lead for P2P Process Re-engineering and F&A Transformation Lead. Earlier, he spent more than four years at AXA XL as Head of Transitions & Technical Accounting – Ceded Reinsurance Finance. He began his career with a six-year tenure in Finance & Accounting at Genpact.
