20 September 2026: Swiss Re has elevated Priyadarshi Bhattacharya to Managing Director, Global Head HR for Group Technology, Strategy & Transformation, and APAC Countries. Based in Zurich, Switzerland, he will manage the global people strategy for the company’s digital, technology, and transformation functions while taking on leadership of the human resources agenda across the Asia-Pacific region.

Taking on this expanded mandate, Priyadarshi will focus on driving workforce transformation, championing organizational change, and aligning regional talent strategies with Swiss Re’s broader business objectives across its diverse markets.

He brings nearly two decades of corporate HR experience, complemented by his early career serving as a commissioned officer in the Indian Army for over six years. He joined Swiss Re in July 2020 as Head of HR for India and was subsequently elevated to Global Head HR for Group Technology and Transformation. Prior to Swiss Re, his career spanned senior leadership roles at DBS Bank, DBS Tech India, ANZ, HSBC, Thomson Reuters, and Aviva. He holds a Master of Arts in Communication and Media Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
