21 August 2026: Torrent Power has appointed Vikas Poddar as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Vikas comes with over 25 years of cross-industry experience spanning the energy, telecommunications, and consumer sectors. Prior to joining Torrent Power, he served as CFO at Indus Towers Limited, where he managed comprehensive financial strategies and business operations. His career includes an extensive tenure at Vodafone, where he held multiple senior finance leadership positions. These roles included Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Decision Support for India, Regional Finance Controller, and Finance Director for the UK market. Earlier in his career, he managed core finance functions at ITC Limited, establishing a strong foundation in financial planning and execution.

As the CFO for Torrent Power, Vikas will manage the company’s financial operations, focusing on strategic finance, business transformation, and enterprise performance management.

By aligning financial operations with broader corporate goals, his role will center on optimizing financial planning, managing risk, and driving continuous process improvements across Torrent Power’s operational landscape.
