19 August 2026: Baxter International Inc. has appointed John Rogers as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective October 1, 2026.

In this role, John will manage Baxter’s global financial operations. His mandate includes leading initiatives to stabilize the business, strengthen the balance sheet, and drive continuous improvement and financial discipline across the organization to support its long-term strategy. He will report directly to Baxter President and CEO Andrew Hider.

John joins Baxter from Smith+Nephew plc, where he served as CFO. His prior executive experience includes serving as CFO of WPP plc and holding key leadership roles at J Sainsbury plc, including CFO and CEO of Sainsbury’s Argos. He also brings public-company board experience, currently serving as an independent director and audit committee chair of Grab Holdings Limited, with previous board experience at Travis Perkins plc.
