BENGALURU | 6 August 2026: US-based relocation and moving services leader Sirva has officially inaugurated its expanded Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Bengaluru, strengthening the city’s role as a strategic base for its global operations. Located at Prestige Shantiniketan in Whitefield, the expanded facility provides more than 250 seats, up from 170 at the previous site. Internally known as “Project Vistar,” after the Hindi word for expansion, the investment reinforces Bengaluru’s role as a cornerstone of Sirva’s global operations.

The expanded centre will support Sirva’s global business across finance, customer experience, procurement, project management and technology, contributing to relocation and mobility services delivered across 190+ countries.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

  • Capacity & Scale: The new Whitefield facility expands Sirva’s Bengaluru capacity from 170 to more than 250 seats, creating additional room for capability growth.
  • More Than 25 Years in India: Sirva first established operations in India in 1999 through its household goods business under the Allied brand, building a long-standing foundation for today’s Bengaluru capability centre.
  • Cross-Functional Global Support: Bengaluru teams provide expertise across finance, customer experience, procurement, project management and technology, supporting Sirva’s global clients and partners.
  • Global Reach: The expanded centre deepens the capability supporting Sirva’s operations across 190+ countries, while Bengaluru becomes an increasingly important part of its global delivery network.

Its recent global mobility initiatives reflect a broader shift from relocation as an administrative function towards a more integrated talent mobility and employee experience model.

INSIDE THE NEW CAPABILITY HUB

The new facility at Prestige Shantiniketan, Tower C, Whitefield, has been designed around collaboration, employee experience and global connectivity.

  • Cross-Functional Convergence: The Bengaluru centre brings together capabilities across technology, procurement, finance, customer experience and project management, supporting a more integrated global operating model.
  • Human-Centric Workspace Architecture: The 250+ seat facility includes dedicated breakout areas, modern workstations and technology-enabled meeting spaces designed to support informal problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration and seamless engagement with colleagues and clients across time zones.

Industry Insights

  1. From Relocation to Talent Mobility: Sirva’s expanding capability footprint reflects a broader shift in which global mobility is increasingly becoming a strategic talent and employee-experience function, rather than simply an administrative service.
  2. Capability Depth Matters More Than Footprint: The move from 170 to 250+ seats is less significant for its size than for the breadth of capabilities being consolidated across finance, technology, procurement, customer experience and project management.
  3. Long-Term GCC Value Is Built Through Continuity: Sirva’s India journey, beginning in 1999, demonstrates how a long-standing operating presence can progressively evolve into a broader, multi-functional global capability model.
  4. Employee Experience Is Becoming Part of GCC Design: The deliberate focus on collaboration, workspaces and global connectivity shows that GCC infrastructure is increasingly being designed around productivity, talent attraction and cross-border collaboration, not just capacity.

BENGALURU’S WHITEFIELD CORRIDOR

Sirva’s expansion also highlights the continued importance of established technology corridors in GCC location strategy.

  • Strategic Location: Prestige Shantiniketan sits on ITPL Main Road in Whitefield, one of Bengaluru’s principal technology and business corridors, providing connectivity, established infrastructure and access to a deep talent ecosystem.
  • Technology-Enabled Mobility: Global mobility is increasingly moving beyond traditional relocation administration towards data-driven, technology-enabled and more personalised services. Sirva’s own 2026 mobility research highlights the growing importance of employee experience, flexibility and efficient delivery models.

SIRVA’S SHIFT TO END-TO-END MOBILITY

Sirva’s launch of Signature Moves provides a useful illustration of how the global mobility industry is evolving from fragmented relocation services towards a more integrated, experience-led mobility model. The offering brings together multiple elements of the employee mobility journey, including relocation, household goods moving, visa and immigration support, destination services, tax advisory, temporary housing, family support and settling-in services, within a single, concierge-led experience.

The strategic significance goes beyond service bundling. As enterprises manage increasingly complex global workforce movements, they need mobility providers that can connect multiple service providers, processes, data points and employee interactions across the entire journey. That changes the capability requirement for a global mobility GCC. Instead of managing individual processes in isolation, the GCC can increasingly become the orchestration layer that connects:

Employee Journey → Mobility Operations → Service Partners → Technology → Data → Business Outcomes

This creates opportunities for Bengaluru-based teams to support not only transaction processing, but also workflow integration, vendor management, service analytics, customer experience, technology enablement and continuous improvement across the mobility lifecycle.

The broader GCC value equation therefore evolves from:

Process Expertise + Technology + Customer Experience

to:

Process Expertise + Technology + Customer Experience + Mobility Intelligence + Ecosystem Orchestration

The strategic implication is significant: the future mobility GCC will increasingly be measured not by how efficiently it executes individual relocation processes, but by how effectively it connects the entire talent-mobility ecosystem and improves outcomes for both employees and employers.

This makes Signature Moves a useful indicator of where the industry is heading, and why Sirva’s expanded Bengaluru GCC could increasingly play a role in orchestrating, digitising and intelligently managing global talent mobility at scale.

FUTURE OUTLOOK

Sirva’s Bengaluru expansion points to a more consequential shift in the global mobility industry: the GCC is moving from processing mobility transactions to orchestrating the entire talent-mobility experience. As cross-border workforce movement becomes more complex, the value chain is expanding beyond relocation administration into employee experience, immigration, destination services, procurement, financial management, data, technology and mobility analytics. A multi-functional GCC is therefore increasingly positioned to connect these activities end-to-end rather than manage them as separate service streams.

The next opportunity for Sirva, and for mobility-focused GCCs more broadly, is to build three layers of capability:

  • Mobility Operations: Standardize and optimize high-volume global processes across finance, procurement, customer experience and programme management.
  • Mobility Intelligence: Use data and analytics to anticipate talent movement, optimize mobility costs, identify service bottlenecks and improve employee experience.
  • Mobility Orchestration: Integrate technology, vendors, immigration, destination services and employee journeys into a more connected global mobility ecosystem.

This creates a new value proposition:

Move People → Manage Mobility → Understand Mobility → Orchestrate Talent Flow

For GCC ecosystem, this is the more important signal from Sirva’s expansion. The strategic GCC of the future will not simply process a global mobility programme; it will help enterprises decide where talent should move, how it should move, what it should cost and how effectively that movement supports business growth. That is the shift from Global Mobility Services to Global Talent Mobility Intelligence, and it creates a significantly larger strategic role for the Bengaluru GCC in the years ahead.
