29 July 2026: Hitachi has appointed Anand Birje as the new Chief Executive Officer of its Digital Engineering & AI Solutions Business Unit (DEAI BU). This pivotal executive addition comes at a critical juncture as physical AI rapidly becomes a tangible reality across multiple industries. To this strategic mandate, Anand brings more than 25 years of distinguished leadership experience across cloud, data, and artificial intelligence. He joins the enterprise following a three-year tenure as Chief Executive Officer and Board Member at Encora Inc. His career trajectory is further anchored by a nearly two-decade tenure at HCL Technologies, where he most recently served as President of Digital Business Services and an Executive Management Team Member.
