June 2026: Amgen India has announced the appointment of Anjali Rao as its new Executive Director – Human Resources, an executive leadership addition that reinforces the biotechnology giant’s focus on talent strategy as it expands its innovation and capability hub in Hyderabad.

Bringing over two decades of HR leadership experience, Rao has built deep expertise in talent management, leadership development, organizational design, and culture transformation across the global technology, healthcare, and life sciences sectors. Prior to joining Amgen, she served as Executive Director – HR at Lilly Bengaluru (Eli Lilly and Company). Her extensive career also includes as Country Head – People & Organisation at Novartis India, and a foundational 18-year stint at Intel Corporation, where she held multiple leadership roles shaping people strategies for the workforce.

In her new capacity, Anjali will spearhead the overarching people agenda for Amgen India. Her operational mandate includes driving comprehensive talent strategy, overseeing workforce planning, and cultivating an inclusive culture transformation to support the organization’s rapidly scaling presence in the region.

Reflecting on her new mandate and the journey ahead, Anjali shared:
