Germany’s Deutsche Börse has announced plans to set up a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad, marking a significant step in its global expansion strategy. The company confirmed its decision during a meeting between its delegation, led by German Consul General Michael Hasper, and Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. The new centre is expected to create at least 1,000 job opportunities in the IT sector over the next two years, strengthening Hyderabad’s position as a preferred destination for global technology and finance firms.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy welcomed the investment and assured full support from the Telangana government to facilitate the centre’s establishment and operations. He highlighted Hyderabad’s infrastructure, talent pool, and growth potential as key reasons global companies should invest in the state. Reddy also used the occasion to invite German firms to explore further opportunities in sectors like pharmaceuticals, IT, and automobile manufacturing.
Beyond job creation, the Telangana government sought the German delegation’s cooperation to introduce German language education and vocational training for local students, aiming to boost skills and employability. The initiative underscores Hyderabad’s evolving role as an innovation and investment hub in India while deepening economic ties with Germany.
