Hyderabad | 3 November 2025: Global hospitality leader Marriott International has officially inaugurated its first-ever Global Capability Centre (GCC) in India – the Marriott Tech Accelerator (MTA).
The launch marks a historic moment for the global hospitality sector, positioning Marriott at the forefront of digital transformation and technology-led innovation within the industry.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Drew Pinto, Executive Vice President & Chief Revenue & Technology Officer, Marriott International, and Sridhar Babu Duddilla, Hon’ble Minister for IT, Electronics & Communications, Industries & Commerce and Legislative Affairs, Government of Telangana.

The Marriott Tech Accelerator (MTA) will serve as a strategic hub for global technology, engineering, and digital innovation, supporting Marriott’s operations across 141 countries and territories. The centre will focus on building scalable digital platforms, cybersecurity solutions, and next-generation capabilities to redefine the hospitality experience worldwide.
Drew Pinto, EVP & Chief Revenue & Technology Officer, Marriott International, highlighted that Hyderabad was chosen for its “world-class talent and strong reputation as a major IT hub.”
The launch also reinforces Hyderabad’s emergence as a GCC powerhouse, now home to over 200 capability centres across industries. Telangana’s Hon’ble Minister Sridhar Babu Duddilla emphasized that the state’s vast technology talent base, over one million GCC-ready professionals and 350,000 AI and chip design specialists, continues to attract global enterprises seeking innovation, scale, and operational excellence.
