METRO Global Solution Center (METRO GSC) India officially opened its new office in Pune on September 2, 2025, marking a significant milestone in its global growth strategy. The inauguration took place at the International Tech Park in Pune, and it was attended by senior leaders from METRO AG and METRO GSC India, including executives responsible for finance, customer operations, master data, and company culture.
The new space is built with a hybrid-first design that supports modern work practices. It includes advanced digital infrastructure, collaborative zones, areas for team activities, and sustainable architectural features. With the capacity to host over 500 employees, the facility is designed to promote innovation, agility, and well-being.
METRO GSC India plays a strategic role in supporting METRO’s global operations. From Pune, the center provides solutions across finance, marketing and design, master data, IT and cybersecurity, data and business intelligence, strategy, and people and culture. These services help implement METRO’s “sCore” strategy, boost digital transformation, and strengthen operational excellence for the company’s wholesale operations serving HoReCa (hotels, restaurants, caterers and cafes) and independent traders in more than 30 countries.
