The state government has positioned itself as a leading destination for entrepreneurs looking to launch and scale technology ventures. Officials highlighted a new IT policy centered on artificial intelligence to strengthen infrastructure and support innovation. Alongside this, the government introduced a state-level Quantum Technology Roadmap designed to build capacity in quantum computing and related fields. The plan includes establishing dedicated Quantum Hardware Parks and Innovation Zones to attract startups and global tech firms, while also expanding existing global capability centers across the region.
Karnataka currently stands as the nation’s largest software exporter, supported by a strong ecosystem of talent, startups, and established tech companies. The rollout of tech clusters is not limited to the capital city but will extend to other regions to spread economic growth and job creation.
Additional initiatives aim to develop integrated ecosystems that combine innovation with wellness, as well as a hub for healthcare and life sciences that brings together research, biotech, and clinical facilities. With these strategic moves, the government hopes to draw international investment and talent and address key global challenges through technology and innovation.
